I change up my make up, fashion, skin care and start to use other products when the weather starts to warm up. A full face of make up is just not for me in warm humid weather, the jumpers go into the bottom draw of my dresser and the summer tops start to come out and some products that work during the cooler months are too much for my skin to handle in the warmer months. So here are some beauty products and fashion items that I have been using consistently over the summer.
NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil & Barry M Dazzle Dust
I cannot wear a full face of foundation in the summer but still want to wear a little something for special events without sweating it all off. NYX Professional Makeup Bare With Me Tinted Skin Veil, is a new release this year from NYX Cosmetics. It is not a foundation it is as they describe it 'a weightless formula providing super light coverage'. I wore this on holiday and to my graduation and it stays put, it isn't thick like a foundation but for me it does the job and creates a smooth and one toned complextion to my skin. The price is reasonable too.
Barry M's Dazzle Dust is great for all year round but I have just been using this more than usual this summer. With this loose fine glitter I can either build it up thick and have a beautiful glittery make up look, or have the glitter fine for a softer day time make up look. A little goes a long way with these glitters and I only wish that Barry M had a bigger range of colours to select from.
Barry M Peel It! Peel Off Base Coat & Clarins Mandarin Hand and Nail Treatment Cream
As I wear a lot of opened toed shoes in the summer I like to have my toenails painted. I like to change my nail paint colours often depending on events or if it chips. The easiest way to get the majority of my nail paint off of my nails is to use a peel off base coat. I used Barry M's Peel It! Peel Off Base Coat. It is cheap and peels off my nail paint with ease and would suggest it to those who like to change up their nail paints often.
Lately I have been getting my finger nails painted with gel nail varnish which is much harder to remove than a normal nail polish. As it is my real nails that are painted I like to try and take care of them and their length. Clarins' Mandarin Hand and Nail Treatment Cream helps me keep my hands hydrated and my nails strong after and during a gel nail removal. I love the smell of this product and it's a great size to carry around in your handbag! However, it is very pricey and I do think you'll be able to find something similar for a much cheaper price.
ZARA Oriental Perfume & Primark & Newlook Hair Accessories
My go to perfume right now and possibly one of my favourites is ZARA Oriental Perfume. It reminds me of summer and has a beautiful sweet smell to it. For only £9 it smells a lot more expensive. This perfume would also be an amazing gift for a friend for their birthday or Christmas, it also comes in a duo pack with ZARA Fruity, or you can buy it on its own!
Clips, clips and more clips have been the trend sweeping my Instagram for the last two months. Diamanté, gold, silver, sparkling hairclips with writing and shapes are all in right now. I never wear clips in my hair at this age however it does add a little something to your outfit and they look dazzling in the sunshine. It just gives your outfit and hair a little pop of magic! They are sold almost everywhere right now, I got mine from New Look and from Primark.
